What does Rough Sawn mean?

Lumber cut from a log using a bandsaw that isn't planed smooth is referred to as "rough sawn." The bandsaw blade leaves saw marks on the lumber, providing a unique texture. This texture is beautifully replicated in our Rough Sawn columns.

NOTE: Do not apply oil-based solid stains, gel stains, semi-transparent stains, or transparent stains to Rough Sawn® columns. Additionally, avoid using polyurethane or other clear finishes, and do not use any finishes or solvents containing acetone, lacquer thinner, or MEK.
