Porch Post Installation
Vinyl Colonial Porch Posts is one of the styles of Vinyl Columns offered by Column Guru. This style is commonly seen on Farmhouse wrap around porches and older Colonial homes from the turn of the century. Don't let the Colonial name fool you, these columns are quite common in modern architecture and are used as Front Porch Columns on many new homes.
The modern version of the Porch Post is made of Vinyl molded around a Steel insert that allows the columns to have structural support. Each column has a minimum load bearing capacity of 6,000 lbs. These columns do not require painting after installation but can be painted if they need to match existing trim and railings. These columns are available in a 4"/ 5" Width , 8ft/9ft Height.
If you have 42" high railings that need to be reattached, make sure you get the taller 9 foot Porch Post as it has a taller flat portion to attach the railings.
Much like their Fibreglass counterparts, Vinyl Columns can be installed in less than a day.
