Using Versatex PVC to replace your Fascia
Replacing your Fascia can be done in a day using our Cellular PVC products from Versatex, it is a great option for replacing your rotted wood. PVC is a great material because it is water proof, insect proof and it looks, installs and paints like wood without all the drawbacks of using wood outdoors.
Rotting fascias are typically a result of a leaky roof or an issue with water being diverted to areas its not supposed to go. It is most often seen in flat roof situations where the water is pooling in one corner or a leak has developed in the water proof membrane and allowing the water to trickle in from above. Over time, the water will damage the fascia and potentially the support beams hidden behind. While we cannot replace your roof or fix your water issues, we can replace the fascia once the underlying issues have been resolved.
We begin by removing the existing materials and exposing the beams beneath, once we have ensured that the existing wood is good, we proceed with the installation. We bring out whole sheets of PVC and cut them down on site into the required lengths. If columns are also being installed, we install them first so that the PVC can be customized to fit cleanly around the Capitals.
The picture above shows a typical Fascia, very simple lines and linear. If you would like to add some decorative elements to your porch, we have access to decorative PVC Trims which will help bring the porch to life. Crown Mouldings, Brick Mouldings, Panel Moulds and Corner Blacks can all be incorporated into the installation providing that there is enough space to accommodate them.
Once we have completed the installation, everything is cleaned up and the Fascia is ready for PAINT to match the rest of your porch.
