Are your columns Structural and Load Bearing?
Yes, the Fibreglass columns are all load bearing on their own and do not require any supports to be installed inside before installation. The load bearing capacity will depend on the diameter or width of the individual column.
PVC Columns are not load bearing on their own and will require steel or wood supports to be installed. The PVC Columns will wrap around the structural support.
Do you offer painting services?
We DO OFFER PAINTING SERVICES for an additional cost. Otherwise we will install and leave the columns caulked, filled and sanded ready for paint. You can paint in as little as 1 hour after we have completed the installation. We recommend painting within 4 month of the installation as the caulking will dry up if not painted, the columns will be fine without paint.

What type of paint do you recommend?
When painting Fibreglass or PVC Column Wraps, we recommend using a 100% Acrylic Exterior Paint. Make sure it is meant to be used on Aluminum or Vinyl Siding as the Fibreglass and PVC is non porous and any other type of paint may not adhere properly. This paint is readily available at the big box stores and can be colour matched. See our Paint page to find out more.
Do you take away the old columns?
We will cut the old columns down into manageable pieces. Your Municipal Garbage service will take away columns that have been cut down when placed at the end of the driveway.
In the case of larger column installations, we will send a Bagster ( Large Garbage Bag offered by Waste Management) once the installation is complete, WM will be called to pick up the bag. WM service is available in the majority of the Toronto GTA area.
Do I get a discount based on multiple Columns?
Yes, there are discounts available if you have 6 or more Columns or if you go in together with your neighbours to have your columns replaced with fiberglass. Please note that most Toronto GTA homes have multiple columns and we base our pricing on having multiple columns replaced. Two columns will not warrant a discount.
Can I just have the Bases Replaced?
NO, we will not replace the bases alone. Call someone else for this service.
Bases on wood columns can't be replaced without complete removal and reinstallation of the existing wood column. With this in mind, you would be better off spending a few more dollars and replace your columns with a permanent solution. Wood and Fiberglass Column bases are not interchangeable, they are built differently and are installed differently. We will not change the bases out and do not provide bases alone.
